Eric Martin - Akil The MC (Jurassic 5)

Eric Martin returns with a few more things this spring starting with a bouncy piece of sponge cake straight out of the oven: “83”.

The single’s infectious refrain is a statement of its supreme flavour: “F-R-E-S-H-E-S-T.” Simplicity is the main thing in the lyrics but this DAW-less production is anything but basic. It’s thick, gritty, tight and basement with an early -‘90s edge. Eric serves beats that make heads fall off while Akil the MC (Jurassic 5) is blessed with a voice that effortlessly wastes the competition.
